Lesson 7 - Study Mode

Every card has a front and a back for a reason, and

Study Mode is where that really pays off

Let's turn a stack into an interactive study

session

Open a stack, click the menu, and select the

graduation cap icon for Study Mode

A dialog of options appears before you begin

You can shuffle the deck, show the back of the card

first, or narrow the session to just cards marked

wrong or not sure from a previous round

Perfect for focused review

You can also study just one group, just cards with

a certain tag, or just your favorites

As you go, mark each card right, wrong, or not

sure

NoteDex tracks this using the Leitner space

repetition method, quietly steering your future

sessions toward the cards you actually struggle

with

At the end, you get a performance score for the

round

Back in the cards view, every thumbnail gets a

small colored icon showing its last result

White for new, red for wrong, yellow for not sure

green for right

Use the graduation cap filter in the filter bar to

instantly show just the cards in one of those

states

Starting a new term or want a clean slate?

Reset study scores from the stack menu wipes all

progress for that stack so you can begin fresh

That's how a simple stack becomes a genuinely smart

study tool

Coming up, the fastest ways to add a lot of cards

at once and other advanced features
