Lesson 9 - Printing and Sharing

Your cards don't have to stay on screen

In this video, we'll print them, export them, and

share them with anyone

No NoteDex account required

Printing in NoteDex works by exporting to a PDF

first

Open a stack, click the menu, choose the save icon

then save as PDF

You'll get a full set of layout options, front only

or both sides

An Avery 5388 template for pre-cut index card

stock, bordered layouts for cutting your own, or

grid layouts like two by two or three by three for

compact reference sheets

Pick your format, export, and a PDF opens, ready to

print or download

In the special case of grid options, like two by

two and three by three print options, if your

printer supports double-sided printing, look for

both sides or both sides reverse sequence

Reverse sequence is the one you want for true

double-sided output

It lines up each card's back with its front so they

match once the page is flipped

Need your cards somewhere else entirely?

Export a whole stack as a zip of images, handy for

dropping straight into PowerPoint or Keynote

Or export just one card as an image from its menu

If you just want the text to edit in Word, then

save as text pulls out the plain text content of

every card

Sharing works without exporting anything

From a stack's menu, choose share to web to get a

public link

Set an optional password, an expiration date, and

decide whether visitors can view only or actually

edit

The same sharing option exists on individual cards

and on an entire workspace from the share icon next

to the workspace dropdown

Turn the toggle off anytime to stop sharing

instantly

And that wraps up these introduction tutorials

From your very first sign-in to printing

exporting, and sharing your finished cards

Explore at your own pace. And remember, the

question mark icon in the sidebar will always bring

you back to the support page if you need a

refresher
