Lesson 10 - Canvas

In this quick video I'm just going to give you a quick tour of the new canvas feature in NoteDex we've designed the canvas feature to be a virtual whiteboard storyboard type of interface making it much easier to quickly create cards and move them around on the canvas something many of you have been asking for this will really help for creativity and brainstorming so how do we do it you first of all just go into one of your existing  Stacks let's take this one we've got as an example and to create a new canvas you'll see a new icon at the top called add canvas so you just click that icon and we now have the canvas interface displayed to add a card you just double click on the canvas and a new card can be added you can also click the plus symbol at the very top which will also create a card in the top left corner clicking and dragging you can move the cards around the screen you can you can give the canvas a title and you can also do a number of formatting options on the canvas the first is the default size of the text that you choose we have it set to 16 but you can increase it so if we say size 30 then when you create a card the text will be of 30 size for example you can also set the size of the card you and set the default and you can obviously drag the corner of a card and resize it so let's just set a card to extra large for this example now when I click on the canvas an extra large extra large size card appears we can also do very small and everything in between as I mentioned you can also click on the card and on the bottom right corner you can drag the card to any size that you would like you can change the background color of the canvas and you can also change the Border color so as you notice the cards have a sort of a little blue border and you can change that as well and completely remove the Border if you would like to finally on the top right hand side we have a series of options where you can delete the Canvas even duplicate the canvas so that you can continue to edit and keep your original and you can export all the text that you've created inside the cards as a text file as well as a few extra features this is an early release of the canvas interface and we plan many more features including many font formatting options card colors connectors and many more features but we're uh delighted to hear from you and to get your feedback as to what we should do and how we should improve the new canvas uh feature uh just before we go finally you'll also notice that you can scroll to the bottom right and to the top to bottom that increases the size of the canvas just a little bit then obviously when you go back to the thumbnail view you see the thumbnail of the canvas with your cards on it okay that is uh the quick tour of the canvas feature we hope you enjoy this new feature and do let us know how we can improve it thank you very much
